
Josephine Lupis

About
Ms. Lupis has extensive experience in insurance and civil litigation matters. She handles a wide spectrum of cases involving large property damage losses, the defense of design and construction professionals in multimillion dollar construction defect litigation, subrogation actions, declaratory judgment actions and personal injury actions ranging from premise liability to New York Labor Law claims.
Prior to joining Cascone & Kluepfel, Ms. Lupis managed her own practice for almost a decade and represented high net worth corporate clients as general counsel.
Ms. Lupis has lectured at the Queens County Bar Association on Trial Techniques and was responsible for co-authoring and presenting an Advisory opinion on SIU Investigation and Insurance Fraud that was considered by the New York Legislature for Insurance Reform.
Ms. Lupis received her undergraduate degree from Queens College in 1997 and graduated Sum Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a dual concentration in Finance and Economics with Honors. Ms. Lupis earned her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2000. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
Ms. Lupis resides in Long Island, New York, with her husband and two children. She is fluent in Italian and is an avid swimmer who also enjoys hiking and traveling with her family and their two dogs.
